abigail williams
One of the accusers in the Salem Witch Trials, Abigail was around 11 at the time, she was working as a servant. She was known as the niece of Rev. Parris. Abigail and Elizabeth Parris were the first two to exhibit strange behavior. The cause of their behavior was later identified as witch craft. The witch was presumably William Griggs. Abigail was a key witness against many of the accused witches, including: Tituba, Sarah Osborne, Sarah Good, Bridget Bishop, George Burroughs, Sarah Cloyce, Martha Corey, Mary Easty, Rebecca Nurse, Elizabeth and John Proctor, John Willard, and Mary Witheridge.
She made 41 of all the legal complaints filed against people who were accused as "witches". Joseph Hutchinson said that Williams had told him, "[she] could converse with the devil as easily as she could with [him]." Abigail testified in 7 cases, her last one was one June 3rd, and she disappeared from historical record after she gave that testimony.
Some people say that Abigail William only accused so many people of being witches for attention so that she would gain more influence and power.
