elizabeth hubbard
Elizabeth was a leading accuser during the Salem Witch Trials. Elizabeth didn't grow up with her parents, instead as she got older, she lived with her Great-Aunt Rachel Hubbard Giggs, and her uncle Dr. Giggs. Dr. Giggs said that Elizabeth was touched with "Evil Hand" when she became afflicted. Some say she only accused people because she was an orphan and people viewed her differently. Hubbard testified against 29 people. 17 were arrested and 13 were hanged and two died in jail. To manipulate the people in and out of the courtroom to believe her about who were the witches, she was throw outrages fits and say they were caused by the witches, who were afflicting her again. Clement Coldum said that Elizabeth could, "converse with the devil as easily as she could with him."
